Description
The founding document of organised Freemasonry: the Constitutions of the Free-Masons, first printed in London in 1723 and compiled by the Revd James Anderson for the premier Grand Lodge, with the dedication by J. T. Desaguliers to the Duke of Montagu.
This Lewis Masonic edition is a faithful typographic reconstruction of the original, set by Davide Torri in the Fell Types, and is presented here page by page exactly as printed. It contains Anderson’s traditional history of Masonry, the Charges of a Free-Mason, George Payne’s General Regulations, the manner of constituting a new Lodge, the Approbation, and the Master’s, Warden’s, Fellow-Craft’s and Enter’d Prentices’ Songs, with the songs set to music.
Please note: this is a page-image ebook reproducing the printed pages, best read on a tablet or larger screen.
